He was apprenticed as venture capitalist by Finland’s oldest owner-manager private equity group in the late 1980s, co-founded and ran a pioneering VC firm into Russian and Baltic markets in the 1990, and a joint university e-business research center for a local pilot of EU’s eEurope program in 2001-2005 and an awarded global venture lab experiment as invited professor of growth venture creation for JYU in 2007-2011, co-owner and iCFO of Composite Door Corporation CDC, a startup actively operating in 4 countries in Northern Europe, in 2013-2016; owner and CEO of his own private company (VCC Oy) since 1989.

He have mentored roughly 50 entrepreneurial teams as venture capitalist, co-entrepreneur, advisor and/or pro bono mentor since 1991 and served as invited professor of growth venture.
